What’s the point in listing sold out items?

To build community trust in that people are actually buying your stuff. Imagine showing that Band-x’s tickets are sold out:

        — It serves to communicate that the deal is now closed; and
        — Band-x is actually pretty cool because other people are going (social confirmation)

I get why you show products being out of stock. This plugin seems to show a list of only things that are out of stock though, that is what is confusing. Unless I’m misunderstanding the plugin…

Maybe you’re an artist who sells his work online and wants to show customers a catalog of pieces that have sold in the past?

If you can’t think of a use for it, you probably don’t need to install it ;-P

I actually use it exactly for the purpose James has mentioned – works very well for my needs so definitely worth while for certain users.

Super list, would love to see a well supported plugin for crowd funding along the lines of what is outlined in this idea: http://ideas.woocommerce.com/forums/133476-woocommerce/suggestions/2939683-crowd-funding-extension would be super to see it integrated with the Rewards/Points extension which would be super for artists and not for profits or community funding and the like. Maybe others interested could vote on this idea 😉

    Hey there!

Awesome list, I don’t need all of them just yet, but some are very handy. I had a quick question for you though. I have fairly recently started using the Woocommerce plugin and am quite happy with it…..The one thing I would like to be able to do is to give each product a Custom Rating (I’d prefer in numbers out of 10) , which could just be labelled as the “Editors” rating and displayed on single product review pages…. I would really like this option because on my website, I basically give in depth reviews of each product I feature and rate them on a scale of 1 – 10. I am currently “displaying” my rating out of 10, as an addition to the product image (doesn’t look great). And lastly, this doesn’t allow me to have a “Top Rated” category page with them listed in order of MY ratings for them.

I have been searching for a plugin, or some sort of attribute setting to allow me to do something like this, but with no luck so far. Has anyone here seen a plugin that could do something like that? Or know of a way it could be done within attributes or something? I apologize if I still sound like a newbie, cause I sort of am. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

    Matt
