Today we’re launching five new shipping extensions including an extensive Shipwire integration, Royal Mail & New Zealand Post. Plus a big update to an old favourite…

Per Product Shipping 2.0

This huge update completely overhauls per-product shipping adding several new features:

  • Add per-product rates for specific country, state and postal codes
  • Define per-line and per-item costs
  • Add costs to other shipping methods *or*
  • Can be used as its own standalone shipping method (optionally)
  • Compatible with variations
  • Import and Export rates via CSV files

    Hi Woo,

If you’ve got the original Per Product Shipping plugin, do you need to buy this one as well?

Our post makes no mention of that, my assumption is that you should see 2.0 in your dashboard. 🙂

I’m getting a ‘page not found’ when trying to access the documentation link on the Royal Mail plugin, and the ‘box packer’ link goes to a Canadian plugin page? I would like some more information before deciding whether to purchase… Will you be updating the rates in future, or are the 2013 rates just plugged in as a starting point? What type of price adjustments can be made to the shipping to account for packaging? Does it support British Forces Post Office (BFPO) postal addresses and rates? Does it support different costs/zones for sending to the Channel Islands etc? Can the plugin’s configuration be exported? I’ve been using Table Rate Shipping V2, and given I can only set one shipping class per product (which I feel should be something addressed in core WooCommerce), have found it very difficult to use for Royal Mail rates without compromises. Given I already have one plugin, is there someway I can test this one and see whether it will better support my requirements?

    New Zealand???

Australia must already be in there (although I wasn’t aware of that) – SURELY you wouldn’t do New Zealand before Australia??

Australian shipping needs an overhaul. The Australia Post plugin simply just does not work. Great effort by DT Baker – but the Auspost API seems to have a life of its own.
$300 to send to California. Nice. Might take it myself and get a tan.

How about instead of releasing new WooCommerce Products you spend more time answering the HUGE backlog of Customer Support issues for your EXISTING PRODUCTS that you have?

(I have two questions waiting for a response myself).

Awesome. We’re thinking about building a mileage calculator for takeway restaurants. Ie. Determines no. miles between shop location and delivery address and charges accordingly. Before we start work – is this something in your pipeline?

    Thanks

    Per-product Shipping:
If we can set shipping rates per product with this plugin .. why can’t you guys just add restrictions as well?
I mean certain products for certain countries.
I need such functionality and will be the first in the line to buy it.
I’m not the only one who faced the problem.
Some guys have countries’ restrictions for digital and phisical goods… others – restrictions for some products for certain countries (like food import from Canada to US)

I will be purchasing the Royal Mail plugin at some point soon, but is there a way to add British Forces Post Office (BFPO) to the system? We are currently getting some interest from soldiers serving out in Afghanistan and Iraq for our products (loose leaf tea), and would like to give them discounted postage using the BFPO service.
