A Bright Future: SomewhereWarm Joins WooCommerce

Written by Paul Maiorana on September 17, 2021 Blog, News.

Since 2011, extension developers SomewhereWarm have empowered thousands of store owners to do more with WooCommerce. Passionate advocates of WordPress and open-source software, they’re the team behind some of the most popular extensions available in the Woo.com Marketplace today: Product Bundles, Composite Products, and Gift Cards

Ten years on, we’re excited to announce that SomewhereWarm is officially joining WooCommerce – and will be part of the larger Automattic family of incredible companies such as WordPress.com, Tumblr, and others.

Manos Psychogyiopoulos, founder, SomewhereWarm, adds: “This is a huge opportunity for us to help shape the future of WooCommerce, having a clearer view of the path ahead, more resources than ever before, and the support of like-minded people.”

We’re excited about what they bring to WooCommerce and for the continued expansion of quality extensions available to WooCommerce stores.

“We’re incredibly excited to support a talented team on the next step in their journey. SomewhereWarm has been with us from the start of our mission to democratize commerce, delighted WooCommerce customers, and engage the ecosystem in our open-source project,” said Warren Holmes, COO, WooCommerce.

What does this mean for existing SomewhereWarm customers? We don’t expect you to notice any immediate changes to the way these extensions work, and you’ll still be able to access and use your subscription. In the future, you can look forward to new and updated features that’ll enhance your experience. Because SomewhereWarm extensions have always been sold through the Woo.com Marketplace, not much will change.
