MICES SyncGo for Shopee Guidelines

MICES SyncGo for Shopee is a tool to easily synchronize in-store products from WooCommerce to Shopee Malaysia e-marketplace.

  1. Download the .zip file from your WooCommerce account.
  2. Go to: WordPress Admin > Plugins > Add New and Upload Plugin. With the file you downloaded, Choose File.
  3. Install Now and Activate Plugin.

Before you use the extension, make sure to first Create App in the Shopee Open platform.

  1. Go to https://open.shopee.com
  2. Sign in or sign up for an account.
  3. On the Console menu, click Add Management > App List to create an app.

  1. Enter the required fields and click Submit.

  1. After submitting, your app will be reviewed – it may take some time before being approved.

  1. After your app is approved, you will receive your Partner ID and Key.

After you have obtained your Partner ID and Key from Shopee Open platform, navigate to the WordPress admin panel to complete store authorization.

  1. Go to MICES SyncGo > Shopee > Setting.

  1. Fill in your Partner ID and Key, then click Submit.

  1. From the Store Profile Page, click Connect Store button and it will redirect the user to the Shopee login page.

  1. Login with your Shopee seller account.

  1. Once successfully logged in, the authorization page will display with the name and profile image of the account.
  2. Click the “Confirm Authorization” button and you will be redirected back to the Store Profile page in WooCommerce.
  3. All connected stores will be displayed in the list of Stores.

  1. Go to Category Mapping menu from the Store Profile page.

  1. Select the Get Category button to import Shopee categories into database.

  1. Click Match to map WooCommerce categories to Shopee categories.

  1. Select the Shopee category to map and click Confirm.

  1. The chosen Shopee Category will be displayed in the list to indicate the category has been mapped.

Note: Shopee may update their category, so you can click again to import new categories updates.

Edit Shopee Product ↑ Back to top

  1. Go to MICES SyncGo > Shopee > Products on the Store Profile page.

  1. Choose a product and then go to Action > Edit Shopee Product.

  1. The Shopee category field will be displayed if you have already mapped the Shopee category. If you want to change the category for this product, you can click the category input field and select category.

  1. If the category has been set, you need to fill in the attributes and update the product before you can sync. The red star indicates required fields.

  1. If you change the category, the attributes list will also change and you will need to update the attributes again.

  1. Go to MICES SyncGo > Shopee > Products on the Store Profile page. Choose a product to sync and go to Action > Sync.

  1. If successful, a Shopee icon will appear and you can click the icon to redirect to the live product page in Shopee. The last sync timetamp will be updated in the “Last Sync” column. New options are also added in the dropdown action menu which include Delete, List and Delist.

  1. If an error occurs during sync, an error icon will appear in the “Last Sync” column and you can hover over the error icon to see the error description.

Cronjob for sync product ↑ Back to top

  1. Additionally, you can use cronjob to sync your products. You can find the cronjob at the bottom of the Store Profile page.

  1. To sync a product with cronjob, click the Sync button on the “Product Listing” page and the sync will be added to the queue. If you want to cancel the sync, simply click cancel.

  1. If successful, a Shopee icon will appear and update the sync time in the “Last Sync” column. If the sync failed, an error icon will be displayed in the “Last Sync” column. You can hover your mouse on the error icon to see the error description.
  2. To auto-sync the product with cronjob, you can toggle on the sync status on the “Product Listing” page. Whenever you update the product description or delete the product, it will push to the queue to sync product.

Sync existing Shopee product ↑ Back to top

  1. Go to “Product Listing” page and select any product you want to link with the existing Shopee product and click Action > Edit Shopee Product.

  1. Enter your Shopee product ID and save.

  1. To get the Shopee product ID, you need to login to your Shopee Seller Centre and go to My Product page. Select any product and click More > Live Preview.

  1. You can get the Shopee product ID in the URL of the page in the address bar. See screenshot below as an example.

  1. After you get the Shopee product ID, fill in the Shopee ID and save.

  1. You will need to have an authorized store with a Partner ID and secret key.
  2. Make sure you have synced the products into Shopee first to allow the products to have the correct SKU.
  3. Choose any store in Store Profile and click on “Order Setting.”

  1. Select Enabled within the Sync Order field.
  2. Select Enable mix order if you want to mix the orders and display the synced order in WooCommerce. Select ‘Disable mix order’ if you want otherwise.
  3. You will need to set order status mapping to match the Shopee status with WooCommerce status. This mapping is important for WooCommerce order history and stock management (‘Processing’, ‘On-Hold’, ‘Completed’ status will deduct stock while ‘Cancelled’ status will increase stock.
  4. Select Enabled for auto stock management if you want to deduct or restock items. Select Disabled if you don’t want to deduct or restock items.

  1. There are two cronjobs URL that need to run to sync order. You can find the cronjobs at the bottom of the Store Profile page.

  1. You are required to set both cronjobs for pull orders to work.

View order list ↑ Back to top

  1. Choose any store in Store Profile and click on Orders.

  1. All Orders pulled from synced orders will be listed here.
  2. The list will show all orders that have been inserted into the database. However, there may be some different result for each orders.
  3. If the sync order is successful, it will display as below:
  • If the Shopee status is Completed

  • If the Shopee status is Cancelled

  1. The remark column will inform whether the stock is deducted, order cancelled or item is not matched.
  2. If the order cannot find the same item in WooCommerce, it will display as below:

  1. An error icon will display and you can hover to see the description. Further information about the items can be seen in the order history in order detail.
  2. For additional information about each order, you can go to Action > Order Details.

  1. Here you can see more information about the order such as order details, customer details and products details.

Order history and stock changes ↑ Back to top

  1. You can check stock changes in the order history on the order details page.
  2. Order history will display all of the order’s history based on Shopee status changes.

  • No stock changes (Disable auto stock management)

  1. If the item is not found in WooCommerce, it will show no stock change and inform which item wasn’t found.

  1. For the stock changes, it will deduct/restock only if the Shopee status is not ‘Completed’ during the sync to create order. If it detect orders that were completed during create orders in WooCommerce, the stock will not be deducted.

Print Airway Bill ↑ Back to top

  1. You can print airway bill when the Shopee status reaches READY_TO_SHIP.
  2. To print airway bill, chose any order with READY_TO_SHIP status and go to Action > Order Details.
  3. The Print button is available on the top right.

  1. If the airway bill cannot be fetched and is not available, the Print button will not be displayed.

  1. Invalid category id
  • Problem – Category is not set or invalid
  • Solution – Make sure product category is set and mapped to a shopee category
  1. Price should bigger than 0.1
  • Problem – Product price is 0
  • Solution – Make sure product price is set and greater than 0.1
  1. Stock is required
  • Problem – Product stock quantity is 0
  • Solution – Make sure product stock quantity is set and greater than 0
  1. Name is too long
  • Problem – Product name is too long
  • Solution – Rename the product name and sync again. You can check maximum length of product name in your Shopee seller centre.
  1. Weight is required
  • Problem – Product weight must be greater than 0.
  • Solution – Edit product and modify product weight to more than 0. Save and sync again.
  1. minLength of description is invalid
  • Problem – Product description is required to sync.
  • Solution – Edit product description, save and sync again.
  1. Must contains all mandatory attribute
  • Problem – Product attributes is not filled
  • Solution – Go to MICES SyncGo for Shopee product listing, click Action and click Edit Shopee Product, select the attributes and save, then sync again.
  1. maxLength of variations[0].name is invalid
  • Problem – Product option name is too long
  • Solution – Modify your option name or option value and sync again.
  1. error_param: Contains invalid attribute value
  • Problem – Attribute has symbol or in database is save as symbol e.g “<=”
  • Solution – Modify your attribute value and sync again.
  1. Variation quantity not updated
  • Problem – Some product variation quantity is not synchronized correctly.
  • Solution – Make sure the product SKU is the same with option SKU.
