PencePay Payment Gateway

PencePay is a Croatian payment processor, which provides online payment solutions for merchants in many different industries. PencePay are focused primarily on the Emerging Markets but also accept merchants from highly developed markets of European Union.

SSL Certificate is not required.

  1. Download the .zip file from your WooCommerce account.
  2. Go toWordPress Admin > Plugins > Add New and Upload Plugin with the file you downloaded with Choose File.
  3. Install Now and Activate the extension.

Setup and Configuration

Steps for configuration of your PencePay installation.

  1. Enable PencePay gateway.
  2. Go to: WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout > PencePay.
  3. Enter Method Title and Description.
  4. Enter your PencePay API Username.
  5. Enter your PencePay Secret Key.
  6. Enter PencePay Department Internal Name.
  7. Choose Transaction Type, Sale or Authorization.
  8. Choose the language you want the PencePay pages to be in.
  9. Save Changes.

Recommended: Make a few test payments before you go live. In live mode make a couple small live test payments, too.

PencePay Admin Options
PencePay Admin Options
  • Enable/Disable PencePay:
    • Enables the gateway.
  • Method Title:
    • The title of the gateway displayed on the checkout page.
  • Description:
    • The description displayed on the checkout page.
  • API Username:
    • Merchant Identification username. Can be found under PencePay admin > SETUP > API ACCESS > API username.
  • Secret Key:
    • PencePay API Password. Can be found under PencePay admin > SETUP > API ACCESS > API password.
  • Department Internal Name:
    • Department internal name. Can be found under PencePay admin > SETUP > DEPARTMENTS > Internal name.
  • Transaction Type:
    • Type of transaction you wish to perform in this request.
    • Sale – payment is authorized and captured automatically.
    • Authorization – payment is only authorized and you will have to capture them manually.
  • PencePay Pages Language:
    • Choose the language you want the PencePay pages to be in. English is default.
  • Debug Log:
    • Debug log will provide you with most of the data and events generated by the payment process.
    • Logged inside woocommerce/logs/pencepay.txt.
