The screenshot shows the Swatch home page with each of its modules explained.
The home page of Swatch is largely widget based, with three regions available for placement of custom Woo widgets below the mini-features module, and 0-4 regions in the footer.
The featured slider can be enabled/disabled under “Homepage Slider” theme options.
The Swatch theme supports two menus. The Primary Menu is located below the theme header. The Top Menu appears in a strip across the top of the site.

The unique home page featured slider can be used to display noteworthy content and has its own custom post type called Slides. The slider uses custom post images for the background image, and then shows the the title and content in a caption.
The home page slider pulls the custom Slides post type. The number of slides, animation speed, effect, auto start and interval are set in the “Homepage Slider” theme options panel.
Adding a slide
- Go to Slides > Add New.
- Enter a title and the body content.
- Add an “Image” in the Custom Settings panel if you wish it to appear as the background image. Alternatively, add it in the content if you wish it to appear within text content.

This theme includes a portfolio module that showcases your work or products on the home page and on a dedicated portfolio page of your site.
Add the Portfolio link to navigation ↑ Back to top
- Go to: Page > Add New.
- Enter a title, i.e., “Portfolio”.
- Select the Portfolio page template in the Attributes panel on the right.
Change the size of portfolio images on the archive page under the “Portfolio Settings” theme options panel. You also have control over whether portfolio items appear in your site’s search results.

The portfolio uses a custom post type called Portfolio.
- Go to: Portfolio > Add New.
- Enter a title.
- Add a tag to the post if you wish to categorize (e.g. “Web” or “Print”).
- Add text in the content as a description.
- Choose whether you want your portfolio page to have a sidebar, or appear full-width, under layout.
- Upload a Portfolio image in the Custom Settings area.
Upload multiple images per portfolio item
To have multiple images under the portfolio item, enter the rest of images in the post body by selecting Add Media > Create Gallery and which pictures you want to add.

To create a dedicated blog page you need to create a new page and then assign the Blog page template to it. It need not have any content.
Then go to Appearance > Menus page and add a menu item to your navigation so visitors can easily access it.
Setting up Mini-Features ↑ Back to top
Mini-Features can be used to highlight your business or website’s key features. They will then appear under your home page slider as seen on our demo.
To add Mini-Features, go to Mini-Features > Add New. Give your mini-feature a title, add content to be displayed if a user navigates directly to the mini-feature page, a mini-feature excerpt and icon (optional).

There are 10 custom widgets you can add to widgetized areas. Go to Appearance > Widgets to add them.
