Cost of Goods

Cost of Goods sold does its own reports, but they aren’t deep enough for our accountant, development, and compliance officer needs.

CSV Export is good at giving us usable reporting data, but does not include the database records for Cost of Goods sold. CSV Export has a theme filter for including custom fields, but it can’t access any of the cost of goods sold data.

We wound up customizing the CSV Export plugin to include the cost data. It wasn’t that complex a change, but it locks us out of upgrading the plugin. So, could the woo team either:

1) Code the Export plugin to check for the Cost of Goods extension, and include the data if present, and/or,

2) Add theme filters that can access the data in wp_woocommerce_order_itemmeta table (especially cost)
