Edit cart items with text/options from Product Addons extension

I have products that have a text area field for people to put in a name to have engraved. However if they add a product to the cart with the name “Marcos” but they misspelled it and want to change it to “Marco”, they have to delete the product in the cart, go back and re-add it with the spelling change.

It would be much better if they could click on the item in the cart, be sent to the product page with the name entered in, and be able to key in the change, click “Save” or “Edit” and then be redirected back to the cart.

Hope that makes sense…

Yes! When products have lots of options it’s annoying for customers to delete and start over. Would be great if they could edit at the cart page and/or be able to view that product with their product choices loaded in (like WC variations do) so they can make amendments on the product page.

Hi Guys – completely agree with everything below. It is very annoying for a customer and we could end up losing a customer because of this – they might just click away in annoyance! It’s a paramount functionality. Please WooCommmerce 🙂

    Hi Guys,

A feature we would love is when the add ons are selected and added to the cart, they are separate line items a t the cart so the quantities can be adjusted. at the moment its all one line of text. this would really boost our customer experience and a much needed feature!

    Absolutely needed!

Woocommerce Composite Products already has this feature: https://somewherewarm.gr/woocommerce-composite-products-v3-6/

However using this in conjunction with Product Addons doesn’t work because the Product Addon fields are lost.

Since both plugins are Woocommerce official plugins, I would consider this a bug rather than a feature.

    Edit Order in Cart

Hi Guys, I am currently using the Product add-ons plugin for my headshot ordering site, and we love it.

Mikey Arce suggested I put this on the board of ideas.

We would like to be able to edit in the cart
    • Re-upload files if needed
    • Edit a name if spelled wrong or add to it
    • or change some piece of information

Currently the only way to make changes is to delete the order and start over

Thank you for your consideration, hope this makes it into the next update, you rock guys!

I wholehearteadly agree to this. How in the world has this not already been done?

Currently having the same issue. Really need this to function correctly. I would have thought this would be an out-of-the-box feature.

In today world this sort of functionality is a must!
