WooCommerce 4.1 has arrived! This release represents the next step in our mission to democratize commerce. In March we released WooCommerce 4.0, which brought major changes both aesthetically and under-the-hood, and provided a glimpse into the future of WooCommerce. Going forward, we will be releasing updates for WooCommerce every 4 weeks — striving to: 

• Create a powerful, usable WooCommerce experience for store owners,
• Build an extensible, customizable WooCommerce core platform for our developer ecosystem,
• Expand the WooCommerce.com marketplace to support the discovery and sale of extensions, and
• Support the WooCommerce Community of developers, builders, agencies, freelancers, and store owners.

We are excited to announce the next step in our journey: WooCommerce 4.1 —This is a minor release, which means everything is backward compatible with WooCommerce 4.0.

Here’s what’s new:

After a lot of hard work behind the scenes, we’re excited to announce that WooCommerce 4.0 is here! The primary focus of this update is to transition towards a more React-driven experience so that store owners can better leverage the power of WordPress.

What does this mean for you? You’ll enjoy a more efficient workflow as the result of an improved management panel and new reporting features.

This release integrates WooCommerce Admin into WooCommerce Core, which includes:

• Enhanced reporting tools and analytics
• Simplified notifications
• Improved store management tools

WooCommerce 3.8 delivers new WooCommerce Product Blocks and a few enhancements for all store owners, plus new hooks and tweaks for developers. We’ll break it down for you below.  

What’s new in 3.8

WooCommerce 3.8 is likely our last minor release of 2019 and should be fully backward compatible with all WooCommerce releases since 3.0.

WooCommerce and WordPress have been making steady strides toward combining content and commerce in a way that allows stores to better serve customers.

In the upcoming release of WooCommerce 3.7, we continue that trend by including three new Product Blocks and enhancements to existing blocks that make it easier for people to find and buy what you’re selling.

We are pleased to announce that WooCommerce 3.7 has been released!

Similar to our previous release back in April, WooCommerce 3.7 focuses on performance improvements while adding new WooCommerce Product Blocks and enhancing existing ones. This update also increases the PHP and WordPress minimum version requirements to optimize your store’s performance and security – more on that shortly.

With the release of WooCommerce 3.6 – along with eight new WooCommerce product blocks and a ton of performance upgrades – we’re launching a new feature making it easier for you to find extensions that help grow your store.

Introducing Marketplace Suggestions

Talking to our customers, we know there are a lot of you that set up new stores yourselves and need guidance choosing extensions. There are over 400 extensions in the WooCommerce.com Marketplace, and digging through them all to find what you need can be daunting.

That’s why we’re including Suggestions directly in WooCommerce so you can easily find the extensions that would be helpful on your site.
