Luggerz makes original work pants for the serious do-it-yourselfer.
Mattison Clark, Michael Genotti, and his brother Ronnie* teamed up to create durable work pants designed with the DIYer in mind. Luggerz launched in the U.S shortly thereafter. Luggerz pants feature a variety of utilitarian pockets that are removable to help customize your pants to fit your project needs. The cotton canvas pants also have insertable knee pads to make those hard-to-reach projects more comfortable.
The Luggerz team explored a variety of eCommerce solutions and quickly realized that they didn’t have the time or the expertise to vet all the components needed to build and launch a successful eCommerce website.
“When you’re looking at setting up an eCommerce site, there are a lot of decisions to make. We really didn’t have time to look at every merchant service, and every hosting or payment or accounting too”
– Mattison Clark
With WooCommerce and PayPal Business in a Box, they got what they needed to set up and run their eCommerce business: a website template, hosting, a payment processing solution, access to shipping services, and even accounting.
The Luggerz team launched their website within a week. “Having all the services in one place and all working together simply is incredibly important. The convenience that they bring by packaging everything together for you was invaluable. We were able to focus on core business proposition,” says Ronnie Genotti, CEO of Luggerz.
By choosing and integrating WooCommerce for their eCommerce platform, the Luggerz team can adapt to changing business needs, and use some of the core functionality to support business growth—from adding coupons, adjusting tax rates, integrating with accounting software and being able to accept PayPal.
“If we decide to sell more than one product, it’ll be easy to assign different shipping classes to different products. If we want to give out a ‘friends and family’ discount, we can do that in 15 minutes, and it’s ready to go”, says Mattison Clark.
*Luggerz co-founder Ronnie Genotti is also a paid marketing consultant for PayPal. The founders were not compensated for their story.
