Oakland, CA’s Xtracycle invented the modern cargo bike back in 1998. Since that time, they’ve worked to create superior bicycles featuring an innovative modular accessory system which easily allows you to adapt the Xtracycle to your unique lifestyle.
The company aim to reinvent and fully realize the life-enhancing potential of bicycles in our modern world by placing value on deep human connection. Their message is one of utility cycling as a smart, sustainable solution for personal and economic development – and it’s gaining incredible momentum.
Having built this site, one of the most complex projects we’ve done to date, we think we can safely say WooCommerce can do just about anything.
We built a custom theme from scratch, including an ultra-customized product page/bike builder as well as a survey that recommends a customized bike configuration.
We really appreciated the fact that there’s a hook for just about everything, and a cool way to configure a product(s) with a URL string.

Developers Figoli Quinn & Associates connected Xtracycle’s cloud-based inventory management service to keep inventory and orders in sync. The site also integrates to Xero for accounting purposes, as well as to a warehouse to handle fulfillment.
