Enable group buy for specific products & categories:

Add group buying to selective products and categories using global rules or product-level settings.

Global rules:

When adding global rules, you can enable group buying on multiple products and categories at once without having to set up options from individual product pages. When creating new rules, you can control group buy discounts, member limits, and all other options required to create tailored group buy campaigns.

Product level settings:

Looking to enable group buying only on specific products? Using the product-level settings, you can set up group buy right from the product edit sheet. Each product can have different group buy discounts and other settings as per the product requirements.

Allow customers to create public or private groups:

With Group Buying for WooCommerce, you can allow your customers to join or create either a public or private group.

Public group:
Public groups are available for all customers in your store. Other customers can participate in the group by purchasing products at a discounted group rate.

Private group:
The private group is visible to selected users only. While creating a private group, your customer can add the email addresses of multiple people and send them an invitation to join his group by purchasing products at a discount rate.

Add groups creation limit:

Control the maximum number of public and private groups your customers can create in your store. Once the threshold exceeds, your customers will only be able to join an existing group instead of creating a new one.

Define group targets:

You can set a group target in terms of sales or the number of members who must join to complete the sales target.

  • Sales target: If you have set a target of 5, as soon as the five quantities are purchased, the group target will be completed. Even one customer can purchase five quantities to complete the group target.
  • Limit purchase quantity: To complete the sales target, the group must have five members, where each member can only purchase a single quantity.

Offer group buy discount in fixed or percentage:

Offer attractive discount deals on group buying to entice customers to purchase products in groups. You can add a discount in a fixed or percentage amount and apply it to the regular or sale price of the product.

Set group deadline:

You can set a deadline for all groups to complete within a specific number of days. Display a countdown timer to notify customers about the time left before the group expires. You can choose to display either a text or digital countdown timer.

Groups management for admin:

As store admin, you can view and manage groups that have been created on your store.

Clicking on any group will show the basic group details, group expiry date, sales/members target, and current progress, group status and more.

You can manually change the group status and view the orders linked to this group. If the group disqualifies, you can manually refund these orders or fulfill them even when the group has failed to qualify.

Groups management for customer:

Customers can view and manage their group from My Account page. The extension lists created, invited and joined groups along with the important group information like group name, product, discount, target, current status and order linked to each group.

Control payment methods for group buying:

Limit payment methods that can be used to place group buying orders, offering merchants a better control to display payment methods that are best suited for group buying.

Set default status for group buy orders:

Set the default order status that should be assigned to group buy orders. The extension will list any custom order status that you might have created.

Note: You can also add custom statuses using our Custom Order Status extension to easily add and assign custom status to group buying orders.

Group buy label and descriptions:

You can customize group buy labels, descriptions and other content as per your business needs. Add product specific description and discount content to conveniently communicate required information with your customers.

Email notifications:

Group Buy for WooCommerce sends the following email notifications to customers and admin. You can customize these emails from WooCommerce  > Settings Emails.
