Currently, Smart BOGO works independently and is not integrated with other discount or coupon extensions.
Yes. All strings use standard WordPress translation functions. You can translate or edit them using the included .po file. Using Loco Translate you can update any string of Smart BOGO.
Yes. You can set a start and end date to automatically enable or disable the rule.
No problem. The system automatically limits discounts to a maximum of 100% to prevent any loss.
There’s no "activate/deactivate" toggle. To stop a rule, simply delete or remove it. It will not be affected in the report page as well since reports generate data based on order and gift items.
The BOGO Reports page shows total revenue from BOGO orders, the number of free items given, and top-performing rules.
Yes. You can override templates just like WooCommerce does. Create a smart-bogo folder inside your theme and place the template file there, for example: wp-content/themes/your-theme/smart-bogo/template.php
Yes. The template color scheme can be customized directly from the extension’s template settings.
Smart Coupons can build BOGO-style offers as one discount rule among many (cart-total discounts, gift cards, store credit, etc.) - useful if you already run varied promotions through one plugin. Smart BOGO is purpose-built for just Buy X, Get Y offers, with three ready-made on-page templates, a dedicated reporting dashboard, and a faster setup flow. If BOGO is your main promotion type and you want offer-specific reporting and templates, Smart BOGO is the more focused tool; if you need BOGO alongside many other discount types in one place, Smart Coupons covers more ground.
Smart BOGO currently works independently of other discount and coupon extensions, including WooCommerce's native coupon system, so combining a BOGO rule with a separate coupon code isn't supported at this time.
Smart BOGO rules are set up at the product level - you choose the specific main product and the specific BOGO/reward product for each rule. There isn't a single rule that automatically applies to an entire category; for category-wide promotions, you'd set up one rule per product or product variation.
Both. Smart BOGO works with simple products and product variations, so you can set up offers like “buy this T-shirt in size M, get a size M in another color free” as well as simple product-to-product offers.
