In many industries, it is standard to charge a deposit for a pre-sale and charge the balance when the order is fulfilled. I would love to see this functionality added to the Pre-Order extension.
Our products start at USD150, are produced in lots, and there is a waiting period of 6-8 weeks for our customers to get them because they are custom made. Getting a deposit is essential so that we can plan the size of our production runs and pay for them! Without the ability to take deposits the Pre-Order extension is not useful to us.
This should be essential. Right now you can only either charge the full amount up-front (which never happens) or you charge when released. Deposit is standard and necessary.
We and our partners process your personal data (such as browsing data, IP Addresses, cookie information, and other unique identifiers) based on your consent and/or our legitimate interest to optimize our website, marketing activities, and your user experience.
This feature exists in WooCommerce Pre-orders. You can read about it in the documentation: https://woocommerce.com/document/pre-orders/#product-settings
Is this on the radar? Absolutely necessary.
An absolute requirement for this to work for my pre-orders. Please, please add this!
Deposits are 100000% necessary for pre-order processing. Please add this feature! Would be a perfect addon if it had this!
That is a very essential on a high dollar items
