Hi, currently product reviews are very basic, they are just WP comments with star ratings. I suppose WC devs treat as a plugin territory and I am fine with it, but basic feature needs at least some improvement to provide common standards for plugin devs as currently every developer invents his own way for added features making integration via Zapier/Make etc. and migration from one plugin to another a huge pain. So what I offer is to add a standard and well documented way of:
– storing review images and videos (it’s a must in 2025)
– API for reviews
– storing reviewer location as it is widely used by review plugins to increase trustworthiness of reviews
On that base plugin devs will be able to extend the feature without inventing the wheel while store owners will be able to integrate and migrate their reviews much easier.

Thank you for raising this — I totally agree that the current review Space Waves Game system in WooCommerce is too basic. It’s essentially just WP comments + star ratings, which creates a lot of fragmentation in how different plugins handle review features.
