I think that this is a really crucial feature as there can easily be different reasons for why a product is available to pre-order. Hope to see it soon!

That’s a real limitation — different products often need different reasoning for their pre-order status (supplier delay vs. new release vs. limited batch), and a single global message can’t reflect that.
Smart Pre-Order Manager for WooCommerce lets you set individual pre-order messages per product, rather than being limited to one global message across your whole store.
