Live Shop Migration

I understand that migrating the website for staging purposes is common, and it’s great to have a feature that automatically addresses that.
However, when someone wants to migrate a live shop, for example, from a primary domain to a subdomain, this staging feature is still triggered, and then we must notify all our customers to update their cards, or their subscriptions will fail renewal. This is highly inconvenient. Forcing us to do this seems unreasonable, it’s like saying “You cannot change your shop in any way”.
I’ve even run into this same trigger when migrating a website to and from the same identical URL, which I don’t believe is supposed to happen. So, if I restore a backup of the website, then it will also trigger this feature. We need something added that we can confirm: “Hey this is the live shop. Don’t kill all our features.”
Thank you!
