WooPayments

Having created a platform of service between private individuals, I find myself facing a small questioning which could be solved thanks to WC.

I use WC for the transactions and WC Payments for the various means of payment that they propose.

When one of my sellers sells, all the money is transferred to my bank account via Stripe Express.
The seller’s money is virtually stored in their balance on the platform.
Whenever he wants, he makes a withdrawal request.

Then I transfer the amount he requested.

The fact is that since Stripe Express can only register a bank account, I cannot transfer the money directly from this account (personal account that will have my name on the transfer wording).

So, I have to choose between using Stripe Connect (not at the moment), creating a pro bank account (not at the moment) or Paypal (which I don’t want because WC Payments offers Apple Pay and other convenient payment methods).

So, here’s my idea:
WC could manage transactions (already done), offer payment methods (already done), store money from transactions (like paypal or stripe), then redistribute the money either automatically based on settings to be defined or manually upon admin request.

An all in one solution for marketplaces 🙂
