WooCommerce Subscriptions

Let customers subscribe to your products or services and pay on a weekly, monthly or annual basis.

Subscription on the checkout cart

That would be nice if the user could choose a bunch of products and then subscribe to these on the checkout page.

The subscription would be on a variable amount of products and on a variable price, depending of the cart at the end.

This is quite different than what offers the subscription extension right now (and the use of variable subscriptions does not allow you to do what i’m thinking of)

Can users swap out line items and switch subscription type?

I also have a client who wants this function. They want to allow customers to choose from food menu items, add the items to the cart, choose the pre-defined amount of weeks/months to subscribe and then all items in the cart become their subscription. Sort of like a Blue Arpon or Plated, but with the ability to freely choose any and all menu items.

Yes! I have an organic food business and would love for any of my customers to see that we have the option to at check out:

“Make this order a recurring order”
And allow them to check: Weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

This is possible with the free Subscribe All the Things mini-extension for WooCommerce Subscriptions. You can learn more and download it here: https://github.com/Prospress/woocommerce-subscribe-all-the-things#subscribe-to-cart

I have created this as an extension – you use it in conjunction with Woocommerce and Woocommerce Subscriptions, at the moment it is not packaged as saleable but I would be happy to price and implement it into the site of anyone who is interested. You can find my details on the affiliated woo workers page – webby scots http://www.woothemes.com/affiliated-woo-workers/

    Hey Brent,

    To answer your questions:

    1. How will the recurring schedule be set on checkout?
All items will renew at the same time. At least that’s the way I see if for every use case scenario in which I’ll be using this feature.

    2. Will all products be available for recurring orders or only some?
    All.

We have clients asking for this now.

Before payment, the customer should be able to elect to make the shopping cart contents a recurring purchase with a choice of frequencies (eg daily, weekly, monthly, etc).

Perfect for winery clients (get a dozen sent every month) or groceries (eg weekly home delivery).

    Exactly what we need.

Customer chooses between multiple products that we have “flagged” for subscription. The price i set based on how many products are choosed by the customer. Must atleast choose XX amount of products. Gets notifed when minimum limit is choosen with a choice to add more products for an additinal price (read. price i set based on how many products).

In the checkout and invoice, the price of the products are not show. Onlythe subscription price.

Customer has the possibility to edit the products until the next renewal order is generated.

  10. Robin Pedersen says:

    1. How will the recurring schedule be set on checkout? For example, will you as the store manager set a fixed billing schedule for all “Subscribe to Cart” transactions, like “every month” or will the customer have the option to select the billing schedule they want?

For us its the store manager. I can see that some shops may want the user to choose this.

    2. Will all products be available for recurring orders or only some? (I imagine subscription products will be need to be excluded, or at least, if purchased in the same transaction but include a different billing schedule, they will create a separate subscription rather than be bundled into the same “recurring order”.

We are gonna use product tags to make products chooseable for this mix/match subscription.

  11. Robin Pedersen says:

We are gonna develop this now. If you want a “real life” scenario to develop this with, we would be happy to collaborate with you. Please tell me soon at robin@naturbit.no.

  12. Louis says:

Exactly what we need too !

    1. Customer would choose the schedulde based on what the store owner alowed (no choice if only one frequency allowed). but ideally customer will be able to select between one time purchase, every week, month etc… Personnally i would not need to be able to set different frequency possibilities for each products it could be the same for all.

    2. Store manager would select the products eligible for this “cart subscription”. If using such a system all products could be both a subscription and a normal products, based on what the store owner allows for each products. The customer would chose during checkout between one time purchase and subscription.

    It would be great !

    Right on!
Exactly what we need as well.

Best scenario to be able to have each product with its own subscription options, or at least all items in cart, with example options:
    one time purchase
    every month
    every 2 months
    every 4 months

    as example

    Hey guys !
Vote for this one ! We need it aswell !

I’m building an underwear e-commerce website and that would fit my needs.

I want my customer to be able to chose, among nearly 300 products, the ones he wants to receive every semester.

  16. Stéphan says:

I wouldn’t want to receive the same underwears every semesters 😀

  17. Brandon Smith says:

I think this is basically the same as allowing multiple subscriptions. I agree. This would be a huge help. I have the same need.

  18. Anonymous says:

This is THE feature that my company is waiting for. If Woo offers it we’ll choose them over Jigoshop and Cart 66.

  19. Stéphan says:

Any updates about this feature ?
