Sorting or filtering only the current page kind of defeats the purpose when a product has dozens of review pages. If a customer selects “most recent,” “highest rating,” or applies a qualifier, they expect it to apply across all reviews, not just the ones currently visible.
For products with heavy review volume (like 30+ pages), this hurts usability and can hide the most helpful or relevant feedback. A global sort/filter at the query level, with pagination updating accordingly, would make a big difference for real-world WooCommerce stores.
