Store ratings are also an input to Google’s Store Quality program, which may unlock the Top Quality Store badge for merchants that consistently deliver exceptional experiences.

Top Quality Store eligibility is determined solely by Google using multiple quality signals; using this extension does not guarantee a badge.
To make a store Top Quality, Google asks businesses for data on certain experience categories when you shop, like shipping and returns policies, among others. Google also checks user ratings and the business’s website to measure its quality and accessibility. To estimate the expected quality of a shopping experience, Google considers all of that info together. The businesses with the highest ratings earn the Top Quality Store badge. You can find the badge on Google and the store’s website.

Does this extension automatically get me the Top Quality Store designation?
By default, your “Store Quality” page will show how you compare to other merchants that sell within your category. If you sell across multiple categories, it will default to show how you compare against all stores.
This program will monitor the experience you provide in several areas, including:
For example, your Shipping category score will contain metric scores for your delivery time and shipping cost. For each metric in each category, you’ll be given a rating of “Low”, “Fair” , “Good”, “Great”, or “Exceptional” that will also determine your overall quality score. To earn the “Top Quality Store” badge, you must rank “Exceptional” in your overall quality score. Learn more about Top Quality Stores.
Note: You don’t need to rank “Exceptional” in each category to rank “Exceptional” in your overall quality score.
