Clinton Electronics is a family-owned electronics retailer established in 1963 in Loves Park, IL. They manufacture and distribute CCTV cameras, public view monitors, LCD monitors, DVRs and related mounts and accessories through a network of pre-approved dealers from their 203,000 sq ft warehouse. Our goal was to create a more effective showcase of their products, improving the overall user experience and discoverability of complex information regarding their products. We also wanted to unify the site into one continuous experience, rather than having separate marketing and purchasing experiences. Their previous eCommerce storefront had been built using X-Cart, so we developed a custom migration tool to move their orders, products and customer data to WooCommerce, including data from custom functionality that had been built to support tiered pricing and wholesale accounts within X-Cart. The resulting site is using a custom Storefront child theme with a dealer application and approval workflow and tiered wholesale pricing. The product pages include custom product tabs for videos, downloads and accessories. The product pages also support complex product overviews and product specifications that allow their marketing team to treat every product page as a landing page, providing complete information about their more complex products directly on the product’s page. The new site is currently processing a larger percentage of total sales for the company than their previous site with a noticeable uptick in the number of conversions across all funnels.
