Add Bundles to Existing Products
Allow bundling on already existing items (including variable products.)
Scenario: Already have an existing variable product, and would like to add the option to have other products bundled with it. Currently you have to add a completely new Bundle Product, then add those existing products into it. This complicates matters.
It would be nice to simply allow us to add commonly purchased items on to an existing product. You can sort of do this with the Bundle-Sells feature, but it’s rather limited. You can’t use variable products and you can’t edit the display (hide description or price or specific quantities, etc.)

You are right that what you describe is partially offered by Bundle-Sells, but Bundle-Sells do not currently support Variable Products or additional layout customizations. We don’t plan to implement a new mechanism, other than Bundle-Sells, to allow merchants to add products as optional up-sells to other products using Product Bundles. However, we are open to support more features for Bundle-Sells, if there is significant demand for it.
Therefore, I encourage you to up-vote other requests in this board about adding new features to Bundle-Sells, like this one: https://woocommerce.com/feature-request/bundle-product/.
