There is currently no way for AutomateWoo to change a membership’s status. You can delete the membership entirely, but not change its status from active to on hold or cancelled, for example. Best practice would allow the membership’s status to be changed, so a record can be maintained, without having to delete it entirely.

Add – Action to manage WooCommerce Membership statuses
I vote for this. To get people off the massive e-commerce site, our practice is offer a membership. The new rules going into effect will be: spend $X and get the membership for free so long as you spend $X with a given period. If the people fail to spend $X, then it would be beneficial to have their membership placed on pause.
