Stock parameters of ordered items

I need to add triggers to inform admin, shipping teams when products in an order are backordered.
Additionally, I would like to trigger an email if product meta (_stock) is less than 5% of product meta (total_sales). Can this be without the order trigger? I am aware AW doesn’t yet support product variables.
