Currently, WooCommerce allows image changes based on variations, but only with the help of third-party plugins. These plugins typically require images to be assigned per variation, which becomes extremely cumbersome when dealing with multiple attributes like color and size. For example, if a store has products with various color and size options, setting up galleries for each variation becomes time-consuming and inefficient.
What I am proposing:
Add native support for assigning an entire image gallery to a single attribute (e.g., color), rather than per variation. This way, when an attribute like “color” is selected, the image gallery can update to display the corresponding images. The goal is to streamline the product setup process in the admin panel, especially in cases where one attribute heavily influences the product’s appearance.
