Stachethemes Seat Planner for WooCommerce

Allow customers to easily select and purchase seat-based products. Customizable seating layouts, dynamic pricing, and real-time seat availability.

Seat Map Snapshot After Sales Stop

Add an option to automatically send an e-mail report when the “Stop sales before the event” (cutout) time is reached.

The e-mail report should include a visual snapshot: An image/PDF of the updated seat map showing the final status of all seats: red for booked, green for available, grey for unavailable/blocked. This would make the report immediately readable for staff.

Use Case: Allows event managers and on-site staff to receive a final “guest list” and visual layout immediately after online sales close, streamlining check-in and door management without needing to log into the backend.

That sounds like an excellent idea. I strongly believe this is a feature we should implement. Exploring a simplified layout using basic shapes seems like a very practical compromise to avoid the costs of external rendering APIs while still providing the necessary functionality.

Okay, I’ll think about this further. The main limitation is that PHP can’t generate an exact visual copy of the layout as it appears in the browser. Achieving that level of accuracy would require a real browser-based rendering solution, likely through an external service or API, and I don’t think customers would want to pay for an external service.

I’ll also look into whether generating a simplified version of the layout (using basic shapes and positioning) could be a practical alternative, and whether that would meet the intended use case.

Yes, but it would be much more convenient to also have a graphical representation of the seats, in addition to the CSV file. A visual map provides immediate spatial understanding and is far clearer and more professional to share than a raw data table.

The report feature does that with the difference it attaches csv table, not pdf.
