THE PROBLEM: The current front-end display of available add-ons for a product is horrible! Sorry, but that’s a fact, friends. It’s a gigantic eyesore. Long lists of add-on options and all the subsequent respective options for each one – are incredibly off-putting visually. It’s super messy-looking, incongruent with the product page aesthetic, and instantly makes the product page unappealing to customers.
THE SOLUTION: Add a DISPLAY OPTION for add-ons.
Examples:
1) Add-on options display on the front end with a trigger. Ideally, the trigger is a button that opens a modal or off-canvas panel with all the applicable add-ons and options for the corresponding product; and/or
2) Add-on feature displays in the product block ONLY as a small heading or button; upon clicking, the add-on options display in an accordion structure; essentially it begin “minimized” and can be expanded upon user interaction.
Display option #1 is ideal, however #2 would help to clean up the product page a lot as well. Option #2 specifically *should* be implement-friendly taking into account the complexity of the add-ons serialized markup and product variation structure.
Such a front-end display feature would vastly improve the product page aesthetic, flow and user-friendliness!
Thank you 🙂
