15 years digital selling digital products on other platforms. WC lacks ease of use and functionality in detail:
– File Selection via Drop Down in Order Editwould avoid tedious entering of full URLs and avoid Typos. Errors hard to spot in tiny file URL field.
– Upon “regeneration of download permissions” the customer cannot access the files unless the order was “completed” before. Also manually granting access to files is not heeded. So there is no way of granting access before payment has been (fully) received. I have long-term customers who I grant access before receipt of payment. Others I accept their transfer receipt. Granting access should really grant access 😉
– Change of Download Files/Filenames is impossible in Order View. It can only be done in Product and granting new access probably.
– Show File size to customer with the download links. Customers can better check and plan.
