Bookings Extension – Waiting List

A few booking systems , e.g. eventbrite will have the ability to place people on a waiting list for courses or events that are full. You have ten people on a course and 5 waiting for spaces to join the event or course. When someone cancels their place then the next person on the waiting list is notified that there is now availability and will have the ability to book / reserve a slot.

This would be a great add-on for the bookings, it would reduce the manual process of administration of letting users know when a cancellation is made

My request is the same as your request, the user can make a desired waiting list and each of them has an email form to be placed on the product page.

I need something similar. I operate a bus service which needs a minimum of 5 passengers to operate. For selling products, there is a waiting function as an add-on but is not supporting bookings.

I can do a waitist on eventbrite however I need a minimum of 1 booking, which doesn’t help us.

I am one of the developers for the Waitlist extension and am able to confirm that supporting as many Product Types as possible is one of our priorities for development. Unfortunately Bookings is an extremely complex extension in its own right, and integration is a non-trivial task. As such I cannot provide an ETA of when this compatibility could be expected, but I shall keep this thread updated as any progress is made.
