‘Using the WooCommerce Bookings extension, I want to solve the following real-life problem:
A restaurant menu is 87$ for adults, 43$ for children. The same menu on Thursdays and Fridays is 101$ for adults, 51$ for children.
– I can add two person types and define two different prices
– I can add a cost rule, and define a cost increase on specific days
The problem: I can’t do both at the same time.
A possible solution would be to be able to add Rules to the “person type” costs.
Alternatively, if “Count persons as bookings” is enabled, the person type cost would be use to calculate the rules in the “costs” tab (instead of the block cost defined in the rule).

You’ve said that this was completed in Bookings 1.6. As we are past that version, can someone please tell me how to setup this:
Restaurant menu:
offseason fixed price is $50
during season price is $75
price per person is added to this amount
adult offseason is $10
adult during season is $15
child offseason is $5
child during season is $10
if we have 1 child and 1 adult in offseason, total amount would be $65. during season that amount would be $100
can this be done?

Pricing rules for individual person types was completed. But pricing rules for individual person types + range of days is not able to make it.
For setting as simple as one Adult price in weekend and one Child price in weekend can’t be done unless they increase in the same amount.
The feature for pricing rules for individual person types + range of days is greatly needed if it claims to be suitable for the use in hotel booking.

I need this too for my travel activities website, in order to implement a future price increase for one person type (e.g., Adult) but not another (e.g., Child). Please implement!

Essentially, the request is to apply the rules to not just the base costs but also person types.
To sum up this Idea, I believe it is to be able to apply the cost rules to not just base and booking prices, but also to Person Type prices, since these often do not follow the same rules.
Great idea! It will be perfect for hotels if prices will depend from number of adults and children in group of persons too.
For example:
1 adult + 1 child = $180
1 adult + 2 children = $220
2 adults = $200
2 adults + 1 child = $250
Prices in hotels are seasonable of course.
