“Out of Stock” Option for Individual Add-ons

I am a frequent user of your WooCommerce Product Add-Ons plugin and have found it incredibly useful in enhancing my WooCommerce store’s functionality. It has simplified customization options, making it more user-friendly for our customers.

While the plugin offers many great features, there’s a specific function that I believe would make it even better: the ability to manually mark individual add-ons as “Out of Stock.”

The Challenge:

Currently, there is no straightforward way to indicate that a specific add-on item is out of stock, without removing the add-on entirely or editing its name to include “Out of Stock.”

The Simple Solution:

Introducing a simple “Out of Stock” checkbox or field in the add-on settings. This will allow store managers to quickly mark an add-on as out of stock. When marked, the add-on could display an “Out of Stock” label instead of the price.

This feature would:

Make inventory management easier for store managers.
Improve customer experience by providing real-time stock information.

Would you consider adding this small but impactful feature in a future update? I’m confident that many in the WooCommerce community would find it beneficial.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Hey there,

Thank you for getting in touch!

Product Add-Ons allows you to add customization options to your products. These options are product characteristics/attributes, like color or engraving and not actual physical products. Therefore, it is not possible to manage stock for these options.

However, I definitely understand that it would be useful to enable/disable specific add-ons. So, I encourage you to up-vote this planned feature instead: https://woocommerce.com/feature-request/enable-disable-addons/.
