Retry payment after failure…when site can not be reached

I recently had a strip payment fail, because of a PHP crash error:

the “cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: api.stripe.com”.

That should not be allowed. Instead, if the stripe server can not be resolved, a message should come up, to the user that says :the sever is not available, we shall retry your payment in an hour.

I make online services and products for those who dislike technology and are afraid of it. This kind of thing can NEVER HAPPEN. They won’t try again, they will just quit..and I lose money because of it.
