In the current WooCommerce setup, while it’s possible to define and apply shipping types for new products, this functionality does not extend to the manual creation of orders. As a result, when orders are manually created, the process does not allow for the selection from predefined shipping types, requiring manual input of shipping details each time. This limitation overlooks the efficiency of utilizing existing shipping configurations, leading to potential inconsistencies in shipping application and increased administrative overhead.
Our request is for a feature that enables the selection of predefined shipping types during the manual order creation process. After the customer’s shipping address is entered, users should be presented with a dropdown or selection interface that lists all predefined shipping types available on the site.

With my vote added it takes the total up to just 3 in 16 months. So there’s probably zero chance of this happening. And yet Algol Plus are able to interface with the Table Rate Shipping plugin with their Phone Orders plugin.
In fact, when you enter a manual order and add shipping, you are offered Table Rate Shipping in the drop down. However, you are not then presented with the Table Rate options. I personally consider this a bug, not a feature request.
Thanks for taking the time to leave the feature request! I can see how the shopper-facing shipping method selection interface could be useful for orders created manually in wp-admin as well. While we can’t promise immediate changes, your feedback helps us prioritize improvements. Thank you!
