The ability to add a stock locations to a product.

a Basic feature that is available in Shopify, Prestashop and even OpenCart, since 2012.

for example: A simple text entry field in the Product data > Inventory Tab. Between SKU field and GTIN, UPC, EAN, or ISBN. that would the shop owner to enter some information that would allow them to find said item in their warehouse/brick and mortar shop.

You could even allow for the creation of multi-locations, as shopify does in the starter package. for example:

Warehouse 1 : Shelf A23
Warehouse 2 : Shelf E3
High Street Shop : Under Counter

There are commercial plugins for this, but they are either overly complex with features simply not used, badly managed and have poor after-sales support. Or all three.

As a developer, it’s getting more and more difficult to steer clients towards Woo, over Shopify. This feature being one of the most common complaint we hear.
