WooCommerce Tax

Automatically calculate how much sales tax should be collected for WooCommerce orders — by city, country, or state — at checkout.

Tax Exemption support

I use woocommerce from the backend to build orders for clients. Many of my clients have tax exemption status (Non-Profits). I use WooCommerce Tax to automate when my clients do need to pay sales taxes. However when building an order though the backend “Add Order” menu, plugins that offer tax exemption though the front end cart and checkout flow do not work from the backend. Nor do they work when a customer logs into their My-Account areas to view the orders because the orders are static in their pending status. Even plugins that do enable customers to modify these pre-built orders do not enable customers access to this ability.

The previously mentioned tax exemption plugins such as

Tax Exempt

and

Ultimate Tax Exemption

do provide a structure to implement tax exemption through a submission process, user categories and user names.

I’d like to see a feature that hooks into these to provide a check box for a taxable sale in the back end that will prevent WooCommerce Tax from automatically forcing tax on all customers billed this way.
