UI: Too many admin notices

Just installed Square on a new WC site. Once outside the setup wizard, or after installing the plugin, you get hit with some overwhelming, non-dismissible, notice spam:

1) Could these notices only show on applicable screens, such as inside WooCommerce settings screens only – or maybe even just the Square setting?

2) How about one notice at a time? For example, they need to first connect, so only show that. Then if they need to still select a business location, show that. Afterwards, we can prompt about location/currency.

3) Are notices truly the best option for some of these? After activating the plugin, a notice that directs the user to the Square settings screen makes sense. But after that, I feel like there could be a better way.
