How it Works
Campaign types
There are two basic types of Crowdfunding campaigns.

Campaign contributions are charged when the user contributes.
Charge on campaign completion campaigns
Users are not charged at the time of contribution. They are charged when the campaign goal is reached. If the campaign goal is not reached, they are not charged.
Fundraising campaigns
The workflow of fundraising campaigns is:
Once the campaign is set up and configured, the campaign will be ready for contributions. When customers land on the Campaign page they will see the following details.
Purpose of the campaign
Campaign goal
Min/max/recommended contribution
Campaign end date (if applicable)
Customers will be able to contribute to the campaign by entering the contribution amount (based on configuration) and proceeding to complete the payment.
Once the payment is complete and the order reaches the specified status, the total raised contribution amount will increase and show on the product page. The contributor name and contribution amount will be visible on the Campaign page.
The campaign will close based on the conditions set in the product.
Product purchase campaigns
The workflow of Product purchase campaigns are as follows:
Once the campaign is set up and configured, the campaign will be ready for contributions. When the customer lands on the Campaign page they will see the following details.
Purpose of the campaign
Campaign goal
Min/max/recommended contribution
The campaign end date (if applicable)
Customers will be able to contribute to the campaign by entering the contribution amount (based on configuration) and proceeding to complete the payment.
Once the payment is complete and the order reaches the specified status, the total raised contribution amount will increase and show on the product page. The contributor name and contribution amount will be visible on the Campaign page.
The campaign will close based on the condition set in the product. Once the campaign closes, and the campaign goal amount is reached an order will be created for the product linked to the campaign. The order will be assigned to the campaign creator.
