Businesses, today, have many moving parts. Each part is integral to the whole, ensuring the business operates at maximum efficiency. Some of these parts, such as the sales channels, can be expanded upon as the business grows, or in order to help to grow the business. Adding an online sales channel is the next logical step for many businesses who have existed in the brick-and-mortar world for any amount of time.

As with any business decision, adding to the number of sales channels in which your business operates can affect other aspects of your business; namely your inventory management. With your new online sales channel bringing in orders, as well as your (potentially numerous) retail stores, distributors, wholesale customers and direct sales via your warehouse, inventory management has suddenly become paramount to your business’ survival.

Enter TradeGecko for WooCommerce; Advanced, multi-sales channel, cloud based inventory management.

How can TradeGecko and WooCommerce help me?

You’re importing and selling bikes and bike parts, selling to a number of local retailers. Since starting your business, you’ve gathered a substantial local following, with your hip fixed-wheel bikes being spoken about and passed from hipster to hipster via word of mouth. You’re noticing, in recent months, that your retailers are buying all they can and you feel it’s time to invest in other sales channels. Taking the leap, you move forward to set about creating your online store. You decide to use WooCommerce, as you’ve had several recommendations from your friends about the product.

You’re now selling your bikes through local retail stores, online via your WooCommerce-powered store and directly to other businesses via your warehouse. Your business is built around marketing and sales. You don’t have time to manage all of this inventory and run your business.

Using TradeGecko, WooCommerce and the TradeGecko extension for WooCommerce, you can use TradeGecko and effortlessly synchronise order and inventory information across your sales channels, ensuring you’ve got your thumb on your inventory without having to keep a constant watch over each and every order to ensure there is enough inventory to fulfil it.

That’s me! Where do I get this product?

TradeGecko for WooCommerce is available, today, on our WooThemes store, for FREE. Grab your copy, sign up with TradeGecko and ensure your inventory is synchronised across your many sales channels.

We’re excited to hear how TradeGecko for WooCommerce enhances your inventory management experience and helps you to grow your business into the wonderfully flourishing ecommerce space.

Seems like a nice plugin and much needed for inventory. I am little concerned about the length of time between Sensei updates to be honest compared with the love wooCommerce is getting. Obviously impossible to compare the two – due to the demand for woocommerce but I feel Sensei needs some much needed love to bring it to a level where large volumes of people can deploy it for their needs. Just hoping to see it develop more and more and with your new pricing structure for woo hopefully more resources can be point in the direction of Sensei. Just my 2cents here.

Look forward to it Matty, cannot wait for it actually 🙂 hopefully some of those naming conventions like author to lecture and lessons have been tidied up and also there is some new goodness. I just wish there were more regular releases on this to be honest for it go to gather momentum. Cheers for the update.

How does TradeGecko cope with custom attributes and variants?

Also in there a POS interface for retail sales?

Like Dan above I too would like to know how best to get TradeGecko to work with Woo products that are variable products?

I’ve managed to import products into WooCommerce using article: http://support.tradegecko.com/hc/en-us/articles/200057646-Importing-your-TradeGecko-products-into-WooCommerce

The dummy products have come over as Simple products. I’ve noticed if I make a price change in TG, after a sync the price is only partially updated in Woo. In the database there are 2 price fields “_regular_price” and “_price”, only _regular_price gets updated. So in the products listing the old price is showing but when you edit a product the updated sync’d price shows up. Its only until you hit “Update” then both price fields get updated.

I also converted one of the imported products into a woo “variable” product, added in the SKUs and made sure they match those SKUs in TG – again after a sync (no errors) the prices still have not updated.

Final note – any plans on a POS interface like Shopify POS for TradeGecko?

      Hey “Ax10”

We’ve had a couple of issues with syncing variable products – but we’re looking into it and we’ll have it fixed pronto!

Not sure if the POS question is directed at TradeGecko or Woo – we currently work with Shopify POS – we are having to make some updates to support Shopify payments, but apart from that Shopify orders already work with TG.

Is the syncing of variable products fixed yet? Last time I had this installed, it wasn’t syncing. Any update on this issue would be great 🙂
