Archaeology Scotland is an independent charity working to inspire communities and people to discover, explore, and enjoy Scotland’s past.
Director, Eila Macqueen, and her dedicated staff co-ordinate the Scottish Archaeology Month each September – a veritable bonanza of events from the Shetland Islands to the Scottish Borders. The month fetures free talks, tours, exhibitions, workshops, and hands-on events to help Scots discover some of their amazing history and make archaeology more accessible.
They also run Adopt-a-Monument for community groups to get involved with their local heritage, and also promote the use of archaeology in the classroom.
To support these endeavours, Archaeology Scotland offer two types of membership packages – standard and enhanced. These memberships can be paid monthly or yearly, and can also be given as a gift for others.
