Ability to secure downloadable files without needing a product. Example: a club might want to publish AGM papers and minutes to members only, by providing a secured page with links to the files. Even if the link to the file is on a secured page, getting hold of the link means a non-member can see the file because the file itself is not secured. Setting up a free downloadable product is extremely clunky for this application, and doesn’t give the opportunity for text around the links.
