It would be very nice to be able to send out purchase emails based on product attributes.
We sell software for 1,2,3 years and we would like to send out expiry reminders. All software are variable product where an attribute is the number of years. Right now we only able to send out purchase emails if we configure several hundres of emails for each unique variation. The number of years is not handled at category level (we have categories like Windows or Android software).

I need this feature too. I am looking for a way to add merge tags for a variable product to my automated Follow-Ups emails. For example, I have several products with 10 attributes/variations apiece, and I need for the specific product variation to be listed in the email, and not just the generic product that I get with {item_names} or {item_prices}. I don’t currently see an option for variable attributes among the email variables and merge tags.
