Switching Subscriptions with Prorate – Make User Friendly

Currently, when you switch subscriptions you are presented with the subscription product page with a small message at the top to say to switch. When you choose your new selection it shows the original price instead of the prorated price which is confusing and potentially offputting for the user as it looks like they have to pay full price again. We could do with either a message in here to say that the prorate fee will be calculated on the checkout page, or ideally just the prorated price instead.

It would be great to have the option to change the button text as well so that we can differentiate the actions from a “join” to a “switch” message.

In the basket total is says “first renewal” which doesn’t make sense. It should say next order, or next payment, or be editable so that we can say what we need to in the context of our usage.

The communications are very confusing – with each order generated being referred to as a “your subscription renewal order.” They aren’t renewing a subscription, can we not call it a subscription order instead and drop the renewal?
