Question before buying

I sent a message through the contact us section, but no one answered me, so I am asking my question in this section.
At the time of payment, it is written that this amount is for one year. what does it mean? Does it mean that after one year we will no longer be able to use the plugin? Or not, we can’t use its updates after one year?
