Hi, i wanted to suggest a very important feature for most of people. the plugin at this moment doesn’t have the option to set specific variation on pre order. you can only set for the parent product and the message and pre order button (add to cart) that the product can preordered is applied on. Such thing is confusing the customers because they don’t know witch variation is on pre order. Let me explain further with an example:
Tshirt (Parent product)
Red Tshirt – In stock (Add to cart button, without the pre order message displayed like date etc)
Black Tshirt – Pre order (Pre order button with the pre order message and date arrive are displayed below variations)
Blue Tshirt – Out of stock (Enable pre-orders for products that get out of stock if is enabled or default core function if is disabled)

Hi Mike Lvd,
Your example lays it out perfectly — customers genuinely can’t tell which variation is actually on pre-order when the message and button only reflect the parent product’s setting, not the specific one they’re viewing.
Smart Pre-Order Manager for WooCommerce supports setting pre-order status per individual variation, so a Red Tshirt can show a normal “Add to cart,” a Black Tshirt can show the pre-order button with its own message and date, all independently on the same product page.
Happy to help if you have questions about setting it up.
