Are there any plans to allow other items to be purchased with Pre-Orders?
I am concerned that customers may abandon a Pre-Order item or choose not to submit a second order for any other items after they realize Pre-Orders must be purchased alone.
Perhaps the Pre-Orders could be split off into child orders automatically after the order is submitted so they can be managed separately. I understand that an issue may revolve around payment capture…perhaps this split order option could only be available when the Pre-Order item is paid for upfront.
I do appreciate your time looking into this issue.

That’s a well-reasoned concern — forcing customers to submit Pre-Orders separately from everything else in their cart is exactly the kind of friction that causes abandoned carts and lost add-on sales.
Smart Pre-Order Manager for WooCommerce lets pre-order and regular items be purchased together in one order, so customers aren’t forced to check out twice or skip other items just because one is on pre-order.
