The addition of “Revenue by Region or U.S. State” in WooCommerce Analytics would provide merchants with essential geographic insights into their sales performance. This feature would allow for a more detailed understanding of where revenue is being generated, helping businesses to identify key markets, optimize regional marketing efforts, and make informed decisions on product distribution. It would also enhance the ability to track the impact of location-specific promotions and advertising campaigns. This feature is crucial for businesses operating across multiple regions within the U.S. or globally.

Until this is in core, I built a free plugin that adds a Sales by State report to WooCommerce Analytics. It shows gross and net sales for every state or province, and it works for any country where WooCommerce has states or provinces, not only the US: Sales by State Report for WooCommerce – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org
For the monthly and quarterly view asked for in the comment above, the Pro version shows states side by side by month, by quarter or by US IRS estimated-tax period. It also exports to CSV, Excel or PDF, which makes it easy to compare a region before and after a promotion: https://salesbystate.com/ (disclosure: I’m the developer)
If you’d rather write your own snippet, I explain the different ways to get these numbers here:

Yes, please! With an option to set the date range so monthly or quarterly sales can be looked at by State/Province.
