Disable option photos from appearing in the Product Gallery

By default, the images added to product options appear in the product photo gallery. It would be nice to be able to disable this feature. We have used the product options plugin to show product upgrades and add-ons that are available, but we don’t necessarily want them to appear in the product photo gallery.
