This release closes the gaps that quietly shrink your birthday list — a missing day-31 option in the checkout selector, plus a new warning when account creation is off — and lets teammates review the settings without edit access.
Customers born on the 31st of a month can now pick their real birthday at checkout. The day selector was missing the 31st, so those shoppers either entered the wrong date or skipped the field — which meant inaccurate data and birthday workflows firing on the wrong day. The 31st is now in the dropdown, so the dates you collect are correct.
Birthday collection only works when customers have an account. If account creation at checkout is turned off in your store settings, the Birthdays settings page now flags it with a notice — so you can spot and fix the gap before it quietly shrinks your birthday list.
You can also give teammates or agencies a look at how Birthdays is configured without handing over edit access. Store roles with view-only permissions can now open the settings page to review the setup, but not change it.
How to get it
Update to AutomateWoo — Birthdays 1.4.0 from your WooCommerce dashboard. Confirm you’re on WordPress 6.9 or newer and WooCommerce 10.7 or higher first. The improvements apply automatically once you’re updated.
