The buffer period may need to be <= to the minimum block. Example: I only need 30 minutes to turn over a resource and be ready for the next booking, however, I cannot input .5 without an error, even though WC_Product_Booking->get_buffer_period_minutes() converts the buffer to minutes for internal use.

Similarly, a product or resource that rents for a day may only need an hour or two turn around.

Alternatively, you could add a block_type select to the buffer options, but this seems a larger lift ;).

Accepting a float would be an easy enhancement.
